Ouma + Diamonds

Ouma and I went to a diamond store.

Why?

Because a month ago, she found a huge ‘diamond’ on the floor of a parking garage which she was sure was a real diamond and she wanted to get it inspected.

Upon hearing that it was cubic zirconia, she decided it didn’t matter because she thought it was beautiful.

And she decided to make a necklace out of it.

Jeweler: (Confused) ‘You want a white gold setting for this?’

Ouma: Yes! I found it and it’s lucky and I want to look at it every day.

Because why not be excited about sparkly things? Regardless of how much it’s worth on paper, it’s worth something in her eyes.

Which makes it priceless.
